Taylor Duffle Bag

by nette' Leather Goods

The Taylor Duffle is an all rounder for the female on the go, fitting in with all types of daily activities and adds that extra touch to any outfit.

The Taylor Large Duffle Bag is a larger more versatile version of the Thomas cycling saddle bag.

Made from soft supple Italian vegetable tanned leather from the beautiful region of Tuscany.

The Taylor Duffle features a twist clasp closure, with wide detachable handle and long adjustable carrying strap. Under the flap, there are two poppers that can help to secure the bag or open wider for easy accesses to your belongings.

I use traditional shapes as a reference, but not by replication. Instead, I reinvent these shapes into new modern bags, while going through the same processes to get to create a new product.

Made to be functional and flexible. Made to take you through your day. Made to fit your lifestyle, no matter what situation you’re in, whether it’s going to the office, to the gym or onto a party.

Leather Designer

I fell in love with London at 16 and at 20 I moved here to improve on my skills as a designer. I ended up taking a leather bags course and things slowly fell into place by learning a skill I never thought I'd get the opportunity to do.

Being able to study in London has opened up a wealth of materials and knowledge to me as a designer. I've been able to learn from established makers and companies that have been trading in skills that have been handed down through generations.

My design style is a mixture of my love of British culture and my American upbringing.

Nette' leather goods is a collection of well thought out designs, which strives to offer hand-crafted, bespoke accessories that are made to last and get better with age.

Nette’ is a leather goods company created from the talents of Californian Johnette’ Taylor. Trading in London since 2010, from a small market in East London. Johnette’ has taken the inspiration from America and life in London to create a personal and well-made collection of leather goods and small accessories.

Johnette’ started sewing from a young age, which grew into a passion for designing. This lead her to study fashion, gaining degrees from the London College of Fashion and the Fashion Institute of Merchandising in Los Angles. After her studies she focused her attention on the leather craftsmanship, how products are made, and how they can impact on people’s lives. Her plans were to make products without cutting corners, by focusing on details that make a difference in the quality of a product. From these pieces of work Nette’ was created.

Thanks to the help of the Prince’s Trust and other small business support, things are moving in the right direction for nette’. This time last year Johnette’ was working from her flat in London, and now has moved to a shared studio space in Cockpit Arts, in Holborn.

Nette’ leather goods are handcrafted, sustainable products using locally sourced leathers and fittings used in every accessory. Each product is designed and made by Johnette’, which means no bag is the same. That makes for a unique investment piece that will stand the everyday journey of the working professions to the young adult.
