Grainne began her career in domestic design and retail, going on to curate cultural exhibitions and events abroad. She returned to the UK in 2007 and headed to classes at Edinburgh College of Art to explore her passion for jewellery.
Her collections combine sterling silver with gold, freshwater pearls and semi-precious stones. She also accepts commissions and enjoys the experience of working closely with clients to create pieces for any occasion.
A career highlight was being commissioned by Judy Murray, Mum of top-ranking tennis hero Andy, to create silver cufflinks incorporating the Harris Tweed she designed for her son’s luxury hotel, Cromlix in Perthshire.
A richly varied range of sources inspire Gráinne, including ancient and classical symbolism, mythology and various forms of sculpture, especially in wrought iron. She’s particularly fascinated by the fusion of art and fashion.
Taking these themes as her muses, she designs and hand forms unique necklaces, rings and bracelets, statement pieces that allow the wearer express their own creativity.
